The Trendsetter’s Runway

The graduating students of B.S. Fashion Design and Merchandising at Iloilo Science and Technology University presented a 3-piece collection of their own chosen theme during this year’s graduation fashion show entitled “Trendsetters: Styles that Linger” last February 22, 2018 at SM City Iloilo Southpoint Building. A total of 34 students pulled off 102 different designs for the said event. The models from the said fashion show came from Iloilo Models Guild (IMG) who walked the runway for these student designers.

As a trendsetter, one should be on a lookout for pieces that are “of the moment” reflecting a person’s own individuality. The show presented a variety of themes chosen by the students. There were pieces ranging from athleisure, formal wear, edgy glam, casual chic, and many more. It was truly a trendsetter’s collection showing every designer’s interpretation of styles that are modern and fresh.

The designer pieces together with the model’s braided hair, dewy make-up and their matching accessories were on point. It simply showed the workmanship of these budding designers putting together every trendy look. Over-all, it was cohesive with a modern edge each in their own stylish way.

I have to commend all the young designers who participated in the event. A huge congratulations to you all for a successful show!
