Since Holy Week is coming, I think it’s just timely for me to post one attraction that I’ve visited in San Joaquin, Iloilo. It goes by the name Garin Farm Pilgrimage Resort and it’s about an hour and a half drive from the city.
This place was developed as an inland resort with room accommodations and attractions like zipline, boating, and fishing. Most students take their educational field trips here too since this is also a farmland. The Garin Farm Pilgrimage Site is the new addition to this 14-hectare property and it’s about 456 steps to the top.
On your way up, you’ll be able to see various depictions from the Bible like Adam and Eve at The Garden of Eden, Moses and The Ten Commandments, Noah’s Ark, The Last Supper, etc.
And when you finally reach the peak of this pilgrimage, heavenly choirs of angels welcome you to see an all-white scenery that’s fit for this Holy Week’s Group Pilgrimage.
This place feels so sky-high and so heavenly with the Divine Mercy Cross as its centerpiece. The pilgrimage site has such breathtaking view making the climb definitely worth it. For reflection, meditation, and pilgrim adventure, this is a good place to be.
After climbing 456 steps up and 456 steps back, you may want to treat yourself with their special Garin Farm Ice Cream made from fresh cow’s milk!
(For those looking for the address of this place, Garin Farm is located at Purok 2, San Joaquin, Iloilo, Western Visayas. Enjoy!)
